The owners; Mike and Diana

We’re a Danish/Colombian couple (Mike and Diana) that run the Casa Blanca Hostel in Cali.

We opened the doors for the first time 3 years ago and haven’t had them shut since.

We’re open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We have 32 beds in the hostel ranging from dorm beds til private rooms and twin bed rooms.

In these 3 years we have gotten two daughters, opened Motolombia -a motorcycle tour and rental business and expanded our capacity to now also include a big fully furnished private apartment with 4 luxury rooms and nice common areas.

The daily administrator; Leidy

Diana’s sister Leidy is our daily administrator and is always ready to help our guests with information on where to go or what to do.

All travelers are welcome in Casa Blanca Hostel. We do not exclude any nationality or type of traveler. If you’re looking for a nice, clean, cheap, safe and friendly place to stay in Cali – come to Casa Blanca Hostel.

New York Times have finally found out what we have been saying for a couple of years now. Cali is definitely worth a visit in the near future.

We’re always working on making a visit to Cali as interesting and attractive as possible. That’s why we have started Guide2Cali.com.

The vision is to make GUIDE2CALI the ultimate resource in English for visitors to our city. Here you will find information on where to go and what to do on a short or long term visit.

Everything from traditional tourist attractions, museums and buildings to tours and adventures, cultural events, shopping, sports, music, accommodation, activities, people and everyday life will be posted here and we need your help to collect all that content!

So if you’re interested in going out and researching what Cali has to offer international tourists, take some pictures and write a couple of posts about what you find, then please send us a short email with your ideas and a couple of words about yourself before you arrive and we just might offer you a free bed while you’re here!

BIKERS WALL OF FAME

Bikers Wall of Fame
We have now reached more than 200 bikers visiting us here in Cali since we opened. Being a motorcycle world traveler, Mike tries to help out all the overlanders with their specialized needs – like finding spare parts, making shipping arrangements across the Darien Gap, paper work and permits, insurance,  bike maintenance and storage at Casa Blanca’s huge covered and secure parking lot.

AIRPORT SERVICE

Airport Service
We offer airport pick-up and drop-off.

Price one way is 50.000 pesos. Official taxi rate is 56.000.

The airport is 35-40 minutes drive from Cali.

Please forward flight no., arrival date & time and weather its a international or national flight.

We’ll be at the arrival gate with a Casa Blanca Hostel sign with your name on it when you arrive.

 

ANNIVERSARY AND NEW WEBSITE

Hi Everybody

One year ago, on August 1st 2008, we opened the doors for our very first guests at Casa Blanca Hostel. And what a fantastic year it has been!

We would like to thank the many many guests that have visited us here in Cali and made our first year as host and hostess a very special and rewarding one.

Several of you have come back more than once or stayed with us for a long time and we take that as a confirming sign that we’re doing things right.

Celebrating our one year anniversary, we launch this new website with more information, pictures and interactivity and hope to welcome many new and former guests in the coming years.
